Fair Talk

Two snippets of conversations I had with my ten year old nephew, James, today at the fair:

Me: I'm glad we're still friends now that you're older. Do you still think I'm cool or do you think I'm a dork now?
James: I still think you're a dork. I always did.

Me, looking up at a scary carnival ride: You couldn't pay me enough to go on that ride!
James: How about a hundred dollars?
Me: Yeah, I'd go for that.

Which ride was it?

The swings! They were much higher than normal swings! Haha. There's just something about carnival rides that makes me nervous.

They make me nervous since they're compacted and them jammed into the semi trucks and hit every bump on every freeway! So safe!
